As an EN/FR>Spanish translator, I've gained experience in both translating and subtitling industries. I have a proven track record working on international projects in both: project management focusing on technical, legal, economic, and touristic translation, proofreading & quality assurance, team leadership (group of more than 40 translators), and subtitling and web localization. My experience also covers phone & email marketing, graphic design, and social media marketing. Working in a cross-functional team is nothing new since I constantly cooperate with other departments like PR, design, and operations. Whether it’s something technical or not, I am capable of getting a task done.
While in project managing, I gained insight into every forms of translation project, including legal texts, patents, technical manuals, civil engineering, aerospace, naval and architecture documents, touristic websites and leaflets, and professional & personal documentation. I possess a perfect understanding of the technical workflow from budget to completed project and how translating works together with graphic design and proofreading.
With the rise of globalization, I'm a firm believer that translations and new technologies are becoming harder to separate and I pride myself on being a specialist in both. Working for a company that combines new technologies, internet and translations where I can continue using my background from both industries is a main priority for me.
My personal life has led me abroad where I've lived, worked, and studied in France for 3 years. Because of both my time in a foreign country and my love of traveling, I've learned a lot about intercultural communication, such as linguistics and cultural sensitivity. I enjoy living in a different place from where I grew up and relocating to a new city or country, including somewhere in the US, France or Germany, would be an exciting opportunity. |
