I am highly literate but I understand that no translation task should be approached without an open mind with regard to the words used in the original and - more importantly - an open mind with regard to the message intended in the original. When I do translation work I accept it as standard practice to be ready to be creative and innovative (i.e. considering cultural issues) as I speculate with the right level of caution during all stages of the translation process.

Sehr geehrte Übersetzerinnen, Sehr geehrter Übersetzer,
TranslatorPub, TranslatorBase, TranslatorsCafe und ProZ sind alle was ich “Übersetzungsforen” nenne, und nicht “Übersetzungsgeschäfte” wie K International oder Language Promotion GmbH. Gibt es hier jemanden, der einige gute Übersetzungsforen in der deutschen Sprache oder in der französischen Sprache, kennt? Ich habe diese Frage in Englisch und Französisch und Deutsch gestellt.
