Hello all,
I'm here to ask for your help/opinion on something that's been going on since last October. I have been a member of TP for many years, but not very active recently. I received this same email from three different senders who claimed to have found my profile on here. Here's the latest message:

to me

I hope this email finds you well. I'm Mrs Marta Ferreira and I am currently employed at Motion Recruitment. We are in search of a skilled translator who can assist us in translating various documents. During our search, we came across your profile on https://www.translatorpub.com/ and we are impressed by your credentials. We are very interested in potentially working with you on this project. In order to proceed further, could you please provide a list of the languages you are proficient in translating from English? Once we have this information, we can share more details regarding the scope of work and discuss the possibility of collaboration. We look forward to potentially partnering with you and utilizing your expertise in language translation. Thank you for your time and consideration. Warm regards.

I had received the exact same one from another two, all claiming to be currently employed at Motion Recruitment (Couldn't get in contact with this company).

-Clara N. Crabb <clarancrabb@gmail.com>
-Marta Ferreira <ferreiramarta1645@gmail.com>

Then if you accept they send you this reply alongside a 35 pages pdf:

Payment is €2,500 Payment will be made via bank transfer and you’re to deliver the project within 5 days

Then when I sent it on, they disappeared!

My question is: why the hell do they do this?? What do they get off it?? Can they not get it translated from AI?

Any thoughts??

Thanks a lot!!

Astra
