As In-house translator: (at www.wordlink.com.br from 2003 to 2006)
- 3 years of experience in technical translations for Localization projects, dealing with specific and general texts from Print and Press industry (Xerox, HP, Canon, etc) Microsoft, PalmOS among others. Handling technical documentation such as User Guides, Administration Guides, Parts Guides, Online Tutorials, Product Marketing Documentation, etc. Performing administrative tasks for translation agency and DTPing translated files for PDF printing.
As Freelance translator:
- Started Feb 2006 as freelance translator for agencies in the same areas specified above, working with texts from SolidWorks, Canon, Salesforce, Xbox, Novell, Compaq, HP, etc.
- Daily output: 2500 to 3000 words
- Availability: 9 am to 7 pm (Brazilian Time Zone), Mondays to Fridays or as previously requested.
Extra Knowledge
DTP - Basically text formatting for PDF creation from FrameMaker, QuarkXpress, MS Word and MS Power Point source files.
