Webcast-multimedia presentations are streamed online, and broadcast audio and video content to multiple simultaneous listeners and viewers, which makes them ideal for big audiences.
Interpretation Management Systems (IMS)
IMS aim to organize bookings and consolidate feedback on interpreting quality. The systems are designed to help organizations and language service providers that manage big numbers of bookings.
Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)
VRI is another method growing exponentially since it allows interpreters to work from their home offices or from call centers. VRI solutions are some kind of web conferencing technology with other functionalities added. They use video conferencing technology, equipment and a high-speed internet connection. One of the biggest advantages helping the use of VRI expand is the fact that remote interpreters don’t represent travel costs and usually provide services on a per-minute basis instead of blocks that can last half a day, which makes them ideal for short sessions.

Over the phone interpreting (OPI)

Bring Your Own Device Interpretation (BYOD)
BYOD requires free apps to be installed in the listener’s phone or tablet. It makes technical setup more mobile, less costly and can be used either for indoor or outdoor events. One advantage of this technique is that it eliminates the risk of equipment damage or theft because interpreters don’t have to travel to a site with a van full of equipment for interpretation. Instead, they rely on the apps and can simply ask the attendees to download them.
